It has been good to get back out on the bikes and get used to the new GSXR. This season I have moved up a class in both of the categories. I am now racing with a much faster pack which is a new challenge this year.  

The weekend started with a very cold test day on Friday where I was able to get a feel for the Suzuki. This bike is a very different set-up than the Yamaha R1 that I was used to last season. This bike was quite a handful but thanks to TW Suspension Tech  was able to get the bike more dialed in over the weekend, more work is still needed to reach optimum performance. 

This weekend was the first chance to test the full EBC brakes set up on both bikes in full race trim. I was really impressed with the performance they gave under heavy braking.I am pleased to say the curse of the new leathers has been lifted as I stayed on the bikes all weekend. I was really pleased with the fit of the ARN race leathers. They felt comfortable straight away and it was great to have a matching bike and leather set. Overall a good weekend, a lot learnt and things still to work on. 

Next round I will be racing at Pembrey over the Easter weekend. This will be a new track for me.
