Round 7 - Brand Hatch Indy

This weekend was the last one of the season. Friday test day went ok, gained some valuable lap times and managed to improve my previous lap times. 

I woke up saturday morning ready for a fierce battle with Stacey  for the championship title. This weekend didn't go to plan for either of us. 

The first qualifying of the day got off well on the R6 where i qualified P2 by 0.047 with a new lap PB of 49.435. 

Next up was qualifying for the Thunderbike ultra despite the events I also gained a PB of 49.950. After a few laps an incident with Stacey meant the session was red flagged. It wasn't long before we got going again.  Unfortunately this was short lived as I brought out the second red flag of the session. I slightly out braked myself going into turn 1 and the bike got a shake on over the bump so I had to let off the brake to get it back under control but was going way too fast and run of into the gravel leaving myself and the bike rolling through the gravel.

 6.5 Hours in A&E later. I have a snapped collar bone but apart from that I am ok. 

The two seperate incidents saw Stacey and I sharing the medical center we are both ok but unfortunetly we eventually were both declared unfit to race. Neither of us expected this to be the way the championship was won.

Time for recovery for both myself and the bike ready for next season.
