Friday – FP1 & FP2
We got off to a solid start in FP1 with plenty of laps under the belt and some strong times straight away. The bike felt great and gave me the confidence I needed heading into FP2. In the afternoon session, I stayed out for the majority of the time, continuing to improve and bring the lap times down nicely. It set me up well for qualifying.
Saturday – Qualifying
Despite a productive Friday, qualifying didn’t quite go to plan. I only managed six laps, but I did manage to set a new PB. However, I struggled with front-end not turning in and decided to park it early and save the bike with a solid time on the board. I qualified 24th out of 39.
Race Day
With some bike setup changes and fresh tyres for Sunday, I lined up feeling confident. I got a strong start, moving up to 18th, but got boxed in at Agostini’s by a battling pack ahead, forcing me wide and dropping me back to 22nd. From there, I had a few intense battles and held off some pressure from behind to bring it home in 22nd – my best result of the season so far.
Progress is happening and I’m happy with the steps we’re making. Onwards to the next race!
